What’s the difference between Side and Top?
Both variants can be used flexibly depending on the structure of the space and the desired lighting effect. Side emitting strips shine sideways across a surface, while top emitting strips shine outward from the strip.
Side Emitting
- Light emits from the side of the strip
- Creates soft indirect lighting that washes across wood surfaces
- Ideal for behind sauna backrests, along wall edges, or under benches
Top Emitting
- Light emits from the top surface of the strip
- Produces brighter and more direct illumination
- Well suited for ceiling edges and installations where stronger light output is desired
The Top version produces significantly more light: 160 lm/m vs 50 lm/m for the Side version.
